TOP R&B newcomer Skylar Grey is glad Eminem got Rihanna to sing the hook she wrote for the pair’s smash Love The Way You Lie, as it’s brought her new opportunites.
And the American has no regrets about not pushing to sing it herself.
Skylar, whose debut single Invisible is out on September 26, told me: “I’m grateful for her doing it, because it was part of the reason the song was so massive and it opened a lot more doors for me in the music industry.
“Obviously there are hooks that I don’t want to give away, like the one from Invisible, which I felt so close to.”
Now, Skylar, right, has her own huge collaboration for her upcoming album – Marilyn Manson, 42.
She said: “I’d been a fan of Marilyn for a long time, so I called and he was willing. Soon we were hanging out, talking about the kind of song we wanted to do.”
